This project involved the construction of a new Wendy's restaurant located at the prominent intersection of Skokie Boulevard and Gross Point Road in Skokie, Illinois. The nationally branded quick-service restaurant utilized a panelized building system, requiring precise foundation installation and strict adherence to dimensional tolerances to ensure all structural components remained true and plumb. The project presented several logistical and construction challenges due to the triangular configuration and limited size of the site, as well as the requirement to maintain uninterrupted operations of the adjacent existing retail building throughout construction. DCS successfully overcame these challenges through detailed planning, proactive coordination, and efficient management of multiple trade contractors.
